Saesee Tiin was an Iktotchi Jedi Master and member of the Jedi High Council during the waning days of the Galactic Republic. Having learned with Master Omo Bouri, Tiin rarely spoke and kept himself closed. Tiin, who never chose his own Padawan, attained the rank of Jedi General in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. He was killed by Palpatine when they went to arrest the Chancellor, and with his the other Jedi deaths, the Great Jedi Purge began.
